Hi there! I don’t know about you, but our last few weeks have been so fun and rewarding for us, we had to show you our cute, easy, fun Halloween paper monsters we made this year. We adore them and think they have great potential.
For this craft you need:
- coloured paper
- scissors
- stapler
- double-sided tape
- thread
- pen
- wiggly eyes
- ribbon
- pom poms
- coloured pipe cleaners
I chose to cut the paper in square sizes equal with the width of an A4 paper. You can decide the size of yours based on how big you would like to be your monsters.
I started folding the paper in 1 cm strips, one time on front side, one time on back side, in a fanfold. Arianna is too young for this step, although she tried to help me, but older kids should be able to do this without major problems.
When I finished, I folded again the fan in half and tied it with some thread. Staple the ends together until you get a round shape.
Now the fun part begins. Use the double sided tape to stick the wiggly eyes, other shapes and sizes of paper drawn with the pencil or a Sharpie, to give a contour to the little monster you want to create. This bit is where Arianna takes control and becomes the artist in the house. She had a ton of fun creating these and is so, so proud of her little friends.
You can go to an extreme and create scarier looks, but for us these cute monsters were exactly what we needed.
Hope you enjoyed our little tips and have fun designing your Halloween decorations. If you want more ideas, you an check out the other simple decoration we made and what fun activities we are doing for Halloween, here.
Stay safe,
