Hello there! Welcome back to my blog! Today I want to talk about a sensitive subject to me, as I see myself often low in mood and in need of some self-confidence.
Each one of us have moments when we lose our trust in our own strength and need to revalidate ourselves. Personally, I need to motivate myself very often to be able to remain focused on my goals. I talked about how to achieve your goals in 6 simple steps in a previous post, if you want to check it out, but for today I want to highlight the importance of self-confidence and how I boost mine.
Be active – I hate sport, but I must admit that the beginning isvery, very hard, but after a while, exercising does miracles to my self-confidence, as while I sweat, all my negative thoughts disappear, I clear my head and after a short session of sport or a walk, even, I feel like a brand new woman. It helps me get detached, to get out of the box and most ideas pop into my mind after exercising. Plus the weight loss (ONLY if you stick to a plan)!!
Be positive – apps with motivational quotes are very helpful as each morning I get up and get inspired without doing much, just reading my new notification on my phone. Try to eliminate negative thoughts and focus on solutions instead of the problem and you will become more confident in yourself.
Invest in yourself – change your look, put make up on, get a massage, try to stand tall and straighten your back, invest time in your hobbies or just enjoy your favourite song in the car while going to work! These are small steps but with huge impact on you!
Prepare yourself – study, do research, EMPOWER yourself with knowledge. This will help you be prepared for any situation, increase your competence, will make you more secure of yourself and will avoid stress. I also like to use to do lists, as my visual memory is way more effective in my case, and it helps me prioritise my daily tasks and get organized. This way I avoid missing to complete a task and cause distress later.
Be grateful – take a minute and think how blessed you’ve been and smile. This will boost your self confidence and will last. I promise! Plus, share your smile with the world, and this will make you even more happy and strong!
There will be some more ways to boost your self confidence, but these are the ones that work best for me and basically changed my life. I must not lie, though, as I don’t exercise much, despite the fact that I dream of a life when I do it regularly, but hopefully I will change that in future.
What helps you increase your self confidence? I am willing to try new ways, so do please leave a comment with your opinions and suggestions. If you liked this post feel free to share it with your friends and family as well and follow me on Facebook, Instagram, Pinterest and Twitter.
Stay safe,
Flo
